Mail Setup - Android

Use these instructions to set up your Fyles Web Design hosted email accounts. You will need your email address and password.

These instructions will work with Android 2.3 (by far the most common version) on phones and tablets.

  1. Open the 'Email' software
  2. If you have other email account set up, click Menu > Accounts > Menu > Add account
  3. Enter your email address and password
  4. IMAP
  5. Username: your email
  6. Password: as before
  7. Your IMAP server settings are like this: mail.< your domain name >.co.nz
    So for example, somebody with email address john@smith.co.nz would have the server name mail.smith.co.nz
  8. Port: 993
  9. Security type: TLS (accept all certificates)
  10. Next
  11. Outgoing SMTP server is the same as the incoming server
  12. Port: 587
  13. Security type: TLS (accept all certificates)
  14. Tick 'Require sign-in'
  15. Username and password are the same as the incoming server.
